[Digital Today reporter Yoonseo Lee (이윤서)] Shiba Inu has inched above a long-term resistance line that had blocked gains for months.

U.Today, a blockchain outlet, reported on Sept. 21 that SHIB has moved above a long-term moving average and is testing the most important technical breakout zone in recent months.

SHIB is trading around $0.00000571 and rose as high as $0.00000579 intraday. The level the market is watching is the long-term moving average on the daily chart. That line has been falling for months and has acted as overhead resistance during each SHIB rebound.

The short-term trend has improved somewhat. SHIB is trading above short-term moving averages clustered between $0.00000505 and $0.00000525, and those moving averages have started to turn higher. The relative strength index (RSI) has moved above 60 but has not yet entered overbought territory. That suggests there is room for further gains.

Trading volume also increased during the recent rise. It has not, however, matched the extreme spikes seen in some past surge phases.

A rise in exchange inflows remains a burden factor. Exchange holdings rose 0.14 percent and total net inflows increased 1.06 percent. Total inflows rose 0.86 percent and outflows increased 0.73 percent. In particular, the 7-day moving average of average exchange inflows jumped 24.12 percent.

Technically, the key is whether SHIB can hold the daily close above $0.00000560 to $0.00000570. If it establishes itself in that range, the next target price is $0.00000600. After that, $0.00000620, the previous surge level, is presented as the next resistance line.

If it fails to maintain the breakout, support at $0.00000540 will be tested again. If it is pushed below that level, the cluster of moving averages in the $0.00000500 to $0.00000520 range may serve as a stronger support level.

Ultimately, SHIB's short-term direction depends on whether it can establish itself above the long-term moving average while also withstanding rising exchange inflows. For SHIB to turn the break above long-term resistance into a trend shift rather than a temporary rebound, the market needs to see both price holding and absorption of supply-demand pressure.
