Korea Cable Telecom (KCT) said on Sunday its budget mobile brand tplus has launched a “visual ARS” to improve customer service convenience.

The visual ARS provides the existing voice-centred ARS menu on a screen, allowing customers to handle needed tasks more easily. Major functions are available as self-service, including checking real-time usage charges and billed amounts and changing payment methods.

The service was developed based on a general-purpose web browser and can be used on both iOS and Android devices. It does not require installing a separate app. Users can call the 114 customer centre on a mobile phone and select the visual ARS. After the call ends, the service screen remains connected through the Chrome app.

tplus is also running a pricing plan promotion for the Chuseok holiday throughout September. Promotional plans range from 10 won to 30,900 won. Applications can be made via self-activation on the tplus direct mall.

KCT Chief Executive Jae-seok Lee (이재석) said, “We improved the customer service experience so customers can use telecommunications services more easily and conveniently.” He added, “We will continuously raise service quality across customer touchpoints.”
