Will AI really make people buy new PCs? Nvidia Inside put to the test
Nvidia has launched RTX Spark, an integrated PC chip aimed at AI agents, raising questions about whether “Nvidia Inside” can influence purchasing decisions as “Intel Inside” once did. While AI-capable processing could become a factor again in PC buying, AI PCs have yet to drive demand. Reports cited by The Wall Street Journal point to Nvidia’s brand strength, but note hurdles including Arm-based compatibility and the software ecosystem, especially for gaming.

Arm says agent AI could more than quadruple datacentre CPU core demand
Arm CEO Rene Haas said the spread of agent AI is lifting datacentre CPU demand faster than Arm expected. Speaking at a Computex keynote, he said the number of CPU cores needed in datacentres could rise to more than four times the current level under the same power conditions. Haas said agent AI shifts workloads such as token management and execution to CPUs. Arm has entered the AI datacentre CPU market with its Arm AGI CPU.

AI-driven PC market reshuffle becomes reality as Apple, Nvidia face off
Nvidia has introduced its RTX Spark integrated PC chip aimed at AI agents, lifting expectations for renewed consumer demand for PCs. Microsoft and Apple are also accelerating efforts to reshape PCs with AI after earlier initiatives fell short of impact. Nvidia is working with Microsoft and PC makers to enable AI agents to use mouse and keyboard autonomously. Competition is also in focus between Apple and an Nvidia-Microsoft alliance in laptops and Arm-based PCs.
