Motif builds proprietary tools instead of Nvidia software for homegrown AI foundation model development
Motif Technologies, a developer of proprietary AI foundation models, is seeking differentiation by using its own platform rather than Nvidia software tools. It says using Nvidia’s general-purpose tools makes it hard to beat big tech firms with superior computing power. Chief Executive Jung-hwan Lim said Nvidia tools limit developer flexibility and can lock users into Nvidia’s ecosystem. Motif uses Nvidia GPUs and CUDA but replaces Nvidia’s model development tools with in-house software.

Red Hat holds Red Hat Tech Day 2026, shares AI-ready hybrid cloud strategy
Red Hat on March 11 held its Red Hat Tech Day 2026 event at Yangjae L Tower. Under the theme of building an AI-ready hybrid cloud platform, it presented practical approaches to implementing enterprise AI that include operable platforms, secure security structures and scalable architectures. Choi Won-young (최원영) introduced an integrated operations platform for enterprise-grade AI and said OpenShift can manage existing and new AI environments on a single platform.

Red Hat integrates llm-d into SoftBank AI-RAN orchestrator AITRAS
Red Hat said on March 10 it has worked with SoftBank Corp. to integrate llm-d into SoftBank\'s AI-RAN orchestrator AITRAS. The company said llm-d is an open-source framework jointly established by multiple companies, designed to dynamically distribute large language model inference in RAN environments to improve performance and efficiency. Red Hat said operators are focusing on how to manage and scale AI and RAN on the same hardware.
