Tesla unveils fold-out \'accordion\' Supercharger, cutting installation costs 20 percent

Tesla has introduced a new Supercharger unit called the \'accordion\' that is pre-assembled at the factory to reduce on-site installation time. A first Supercharger site using the approach is already operating in Germany. The package groups 8 chargers, a V4 power cabinet and cabling, and can be deployed by forklift. Tesla said it is designed for sites with marked parking spaces and cuts costs by 20 percent.

DeepSeek taps first CFO ahead of IPO to step up low-cost AI push

DeepSeek is moving to appoint its first chief financial officer ahead of an initial public offering, as it accelerates fundraising and listing preparations. It is considering Yen Wen-tao of GL Ventures, part of Hillhouse Investment, for the role. DeepSeek has widened market share with low-cost, high-performance models but needs significant funding for chips, computing infrastructure and talent. It has selected underwriters including CITIC Securities and is said to be targeting Shanghai’s STAR Market, alongside pre-IPO fundraising.

U.S. prosecutors call Huawei a \'criminal enterprise\' as trial focuses on trade secrets, Iran sanctions

U.S. prosecutors told a federal court in Brooklyn that Huawei was a “criminal enterprise,” accusing the Chinese telecoms equipment maker of stealing trade secrets, violating Iran sanctions and committing financial fraud. A Justice Department prosecutor said Huawei extracted technology from U.S. companies over about 20 years and abused the financial system. Huawei rejected the allegations, saying prosecutors are linking separate matters into an organised conspiracy.
