Woori Financial Group picked for top 10 percent in S&P Global sustainability assessment

Woori Financial Group said on Tuesday it was selected as a top 10 percent company in S&P Global’s Corporate Sustainability Assessment. The assessment evaluates financial and ESG performance of major companies worldwide to decide which firms are included in a Sustainability Yearbook. This year, about 9,200 companies across 59 industries were assessed, and 848 were included in the yearbook. Woori ranked in the top 10 percent in the banking industry group.

KB Financial wins MSCI ESG \'AAA\' for fifth straight time

KB Financial Group said on Thursday it won the top \'AAA\' grade for a fifth consecutive time in MSCI\'s 2026 ESG Ratings, the first South Korean financial company to do so. The global investment research firm rates about 8,500 listed companies each year on a seven-grade scale from AAA to CCC. KB Financial said it received high marks across governance, climate risk management, climate finance, information security, data protection and inclusive finance.

IBK Industrial Bank of Korea, KIS Asset Valuation sign climate finance cooperation MOU

IBK Industrial Bank of Korea said on March 25 it signed a memorandum of understanding with KIS Asset Valuation to build a basis for cooperation on climate finance. The agreement aims to respond to changes in the climate finance environment, including activation of green finance, expansion of transition finance and 대응 to carbon markets, while strengthening financial institutions\' expertise. They will cooperate on external reviews, advisory work, joint research and carbon credit price evaluation and analysis.
