Hudson AI to provide AI dubbing for SBS\' \'Penthouse\' and \'Taxi Driver\'
AI media dubbing startup Hudson AI said on Tuesday it will work with SBS to apply AI-based English and Spanish subtitles and dubbing to major content including the dramas \'Penthouse\' and \'Taxi Driver\'. The company links the full localization process from subtitle translation to multilingual dubbing using media-focused AI technology. SBS said it is expanding the use of AI from production to global localization, including for overseas expansion.

Krafton unveils \'A.X K2 Raon-Speech\' voice AI model to advance game characters
Krafton on Tuesday released its voice AI foundation model, \'A.X K2 Raon-Speech\', on global AI platform Hugging Face. The model is part of a second-phase research outcome from a South Korean government-led project on proprietary AI foundation models, with Krafton participating in SK Telecom’s elite team. Krafton said the model converts speech directly to speech to reduce losses in emotion and intonation, and plans to apply the technology to in-game companion characters.

K-content export bottleneck is dubbing; AI cuts costs sharply
HudsonAI CEO Shin Hyun-jin says language and cultural barriers are a key bottleneck for exporting Korean content because overseas viewers may avoid subtitles and prefer dubbing. The company uses AI translation and voice synthesis to localise video into more than 80 languages and says it can cut dubbing costs to less than half and shorten production time. Demand is rising with the growth of FAST services and corporate video localisation.
