Woori Financial steps up support for youth, middle-to-low credit borrowers with inclusive finance platform launch
Woori Financial Group is expanding financial support for young people and middle-to-low credit borrowers by increasing the supply of policy loans and rolling out new products. It reviewed inclusive finance results and future tasks at a May meeting in Seoul. Woori Bank supplied 218.6 billion won in Saehopeum Holssi loans in the first quarter and provided interest relief and waivers. The group plans to launch a loan-switching product and an inclusive finance platform, while widening regional microfinance support.

Woori Financial Group held an April council meeting on financing for advanced strategic industries, chaired by Chairman Lim Jong-ryong (임종룡), to review first-quarter results and second-quarter tasks for its 80 trillion won Future Shared Growth Project. Participants agreed to speed up productive finance amid rising external uncertainty. The group also outlined inclusive finance measures, including loan rate caps and interest relief, and plans to complete a groupwide platform in May.

IBK Industrial Bank of Korea launches \'Revive Enterprise\' debt restructuring programme
IBK Industrial Bank of Korea said on Sunday it will launch the \'Revive Enterprise\' debt restructuring programme in line with the government\'s inclusive finance policy direction. The programme targets long-term delinquent borrowers and will operate on two tracks: debt write-offs and debt restructuring. The bank will write off debts in full for eligible borrowers meeting criteria including elapsed time since classification as special claims and outstanding balance limits. It will also reduce principal to cut repayment burdens, adjusting debts by up to 95 percent for long-term delinquents.
