Stellar pursues quantum-resistant migration without address changes, signing key replacement central

The Stellar Development Foundation unveiled QPP, a roadmap to prepare the Stellar (XLM) network for quantum computers, and said it aims to complete a shift of all accounts to quantum-resistant signatures by the end of 2027. The plan is designed to keep existing addresses and transaction histories intact while replacing only signing keys. It outlines a three-stage rollout from 2026, adds NIST-standardised ML-DSA support, and raises dormant-account handling as a remaining issue.

RaonSecure to supply post-quantum cryptography solution to KDB Life Insurance

RaonSecure said on June 4 it will supply a post-quantum cryptography (PQC) solution to KDB Life Insurance. The company said it is also nearing new quantum security contracts with more than 10 domestic banks, securities firms, card companies and insurers, and is discussing adoption with public institutions. It said its Key# Crypto is a software-based cryptographic modularisation solution that can apply PQC to defend against quantum computer attacks.

Microsoft unveils next-generation quantum chip Majorana 2, targets commercial quantum computers by 2029

Microsoft has unveiled its next-generation topological quantum chip, Majorana 2, and set a goal of building a scalable quantum computer with commercial value by 2029. The company said development automation using artificial intelligence has brought forward the timeline for commercialisation significantly from prior expectations. It said Majorana 2 improves qubit reliability by about 1,000 times and can maintain quantum states for an average of 20 seconds and up to nearly 1 minute.
