Bank of Korea raises policy rate to 3.00 percent by 25 basis points on inflation, housing price risks

Bets surge on Fed holding rates steady in September in prediction markets

Prediction markets are pricing a 70 percent-plus chance that the U.S. Federal Reserve holds its benchmark interest rate steady in September. Polymarket put the probability of no change at 74 percent, while Kalshi showed 73.5 percent and Myriad about 71 percent. The contract outcome will be determined after the Sept. 15-16 FOMC meeting.
