Mplus pursues joint equipment development with U.S. solid-state battery company
Mplus is working with a U.S. global solid-state battery company to jointly develop assembly process equipment, it said on Monday. The South Korean secondary battery assembly equipment maker has been proposing tailored solutions since early this year after focusing on shared manufacturing bottlenecks faced by solid-state battery cell makers. The cooperation includes joint testing and verification of some assembly equipment at the partner’s request.

Tesla Semi begins mass production after 9 years, signalling truck market shake-up
Tesla shipped the first Semi truck from a new high-volume production line at Gigafactory Nevada, moving its long-delayed electric truck programme into commercial production. The company confirmed mass production at a dedicated 1.7 million-square-foot plant. The Semi shifts to planned output of 50,000 units a year, with 325-mile and 500-mile versions. Tesla is also expanding Megacharger sites and drawing strong early demand in California voucher applications.

Mplus builds full lineup of all-solid-state battery electrode and assembly equipment
Battery equipment maker Mplus has expanded its all-solid-state battery equipment business into electrode processes and built a turnkey response system for the full production process. The company said it completed development of equipment aimed at resolving key bottlenecks and secured pilot orders. It is developing alternatives to WIP equipment, including surface-pressure press and roll press systems, and is also developing a dry coater for dry electrode processes.
