AWS supports USDC payments for AI agents with Coinbase, Stripe
Amazon Web Services has teamed up with Coinbase and Stripe to launch a feature that lets AI agents make payments using stablecoins, The Block reported on Wednesday. AWS unveiled Amazon Bedrock AgentCore Payments, designed to allow AI agents to use web content, APIs, MCP servers and other agents and pay instantly. AWS said Coinbase and Stripe provide wallet and payment infrastructure. Coinbase said developers can build USDC-based micropayment solutions using the x402 protocol.

Circle steps up push in South Korea, fuelling hopes for won-backed stablecoin
Circle CEO Jeremy Allaire (제레미 알레어) visited South Korea and met major financial groups and crypto exchanges, lifting expectations for won-backed stablecoins and related infrastructure cooperation. Shares linked to stablecoins rose sharply on April 14. Analysts said stablecoins connect broadly to payments, authentication, settlement, wallets and trading infrastructure, and that Circle may pursue cooperation on expanding USDC distribution and building infrastructure including CCTP.

Forrester says Stripe protocol could mark turning point for micropayments
Stripe’s machine payments protocol (MPP) supports automatic payments using AI agents and could become a turning point for the micropayments market, an outlook said to have emerged. Cointelegraph reported that Forrester senior analyst Meng Liu (멩 리우) expects MPP to replace existing manual payment methods and open a new digital economy. The open protocol connects with existing networks and supports digital wallets and cryptocurrencies.
