Ledger CTO warns iPhone Safari exploit could steal crypto wallet data

A warning has emerged that crypto wallet information could be stolen on an iPhone simply by opening a malicious web page in Safari. Ledger Chief Technology Officer Charles Guillemet said an iOS attack chain dubbed “Darksword” is being used in real attacks and urged users to review how they store seed phrases and other sensitive wallet data. The chain is said to bypass Safari isolation through multiple vulnerabilities and may access key device data. Google said flaws were fixed by iOS 26.3.

Naver Map launches \'Place Agent\' to find and book places through chat

Naver has added a conversational place-search feature to its map app, allowing users to find locations in natural language and proceed to reservations. The company said it launched the AI-based feature, called Place Agent, on Sept. 17. The tool recommends venues based on the user’s conversation context and location, uses place and review information, supports follow-up questions to narrow choices, and enables bookings for locations that support Naver Reservation.

Broadcast Media Telecommunications Commission asks police to probe 3 illegal location-tracking service operators

South Korea\'s Broadcast Media Telecommunications Commission will ask police to investigate three businesses suspected of providing location-tracking services without required registration or reporting. The commission decided at its 35th plenary meeting on Sept. 16 to request a probe by the National Police Agency. It conducted a fact-finding survey in April and May of 49 sellers of portable trackers with high sales on major online shopping malls.
