Standard Chartered sets SKY token target at $0.325, sees fivefold rise by end-2028

Standard Chartered forecast Sky’s governance token SKY could rise about fivefold to $0.325 by the end of 2028. The bank’s research note set a base price of $0.065 and provided annual targets through 2028, citing expansion of the Sky ecosystem and growth in USDS issuance. It also highlighted agent-based borrowing, stablecoin supply trends and value transfer to holders via staking rewards and buybacks, while noting risks if growth slows.

Brokerage bonds draw strong demand, topping 4 trillion won on results improvement and rate appeal

Institutional money is flowing into South Korean securities firms’ corporate bonds despite rising market rates, supported by improved earnings and the appeal of higher interest income. Daishin Securities, Hana Securities and DB Financial Investment drew 4.265 trillion won of orders for 600 billion won of issuance, about 7.1 times. Pricing came in below bond valuation benchmarks. Analysts cite better brokerage results, reduced non-financial corporate bond supply and demand buildup.

Digital asset taxation four months away, calls to redesign blanket other-income classification

With digital asset taxation set to begin next year, a proposal has emerged to revise the current system that classifies both transfer and lending income as other income. Speakers at a National Assembly forum said income categories should reflect the economic substance of different transaction types, including trading, mining and staking. They also called for stronger enforcement infrastructure, including linking transaction data across domestic and overseas exchanges and personal wallets.
