Apple seen moving to expand Face ID beyond iPhone to Mac
A rumour that Apple is developing an ultra-thin Face ID module for a next-generation iPhone Air2 is fuelling speculation the technology could later be used in MacBook or iMac models. Mac products have faced space constraints at the top of the display, making Face ID difficult to add, but a thinner module could overcome that limit. The rumour also points to possible inclusion in a redesigned MacBook Pro this year, though it remains unconfirmed.
