iPhone 18 base model could add 12GB RAM, new Dynamic Island design

Three possible camera upgrades for iPhone 18 Pro

Apple included internal identifiers for six unreleased iPhone models in iOS 27 beta 5 code, and speculation has emerged about three possible camera upgrades for the iPhone 18 Pro. They include a variable-aperture main camera, a telephoto camera with a wider aperture and additional Pro-model-only software features. Apple\'s iPhone launch event this year is most likely to be held on Sept. 9, with invitations most likely to be announced on Aug. 26, IT outlet 9to5Mac reported. Apple has disclosed its iPhone event schedule 14 days in advance for the past four years. The report said this September event is expected to feature the iPhone 18 Pro, Pro Max and a first foldable iPhone, amid a CEO transition on Sept. 1.
