Bitcoin fails to reclaim $77,000 as oil and Treasury yields rise

XRP Ledger used for tokenised government bond settlement in South Korea
Ripple\'s XRP Ledger (XRPL) has been used in South Korea to settle tokenised government bonds. Ripple worked with Kyobo Life Insurance to apply XRPL across issuance, settlement and custody of the bonds. The case aligns with Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse\'s recent push for onchain bond settlement and his criticism of slow, inefficient traditional systems. Market participants say the approach is already being implemented in part, including an April transaction in South Korea.

Shinhan Bank signs productive finance pact with SK On to strengthen global business support
Shinhan Bank said on April 9 it signed a productive finance agreement with SK On at TP Tower in Seoul\'s Yeouido to support the battery maker\'s overseas expansion in electric vehicle batteries and energy storage systems. The pact includes financial support to boost global competitiveness, help 대응 foreign exchange market volatility, capital markets advisory and funding support, and financial education for workers. Shinhan will provide a guarantee for SK On\'s $500 million global bond issue.
