Woori Investment Securities recruits first customer panel
Woori Investment Securities said on Tuesday it is recruiting its first customer panel to help spread a consumer-focused management culture and incorporate financial consumers’ views across its business. The move follows a declaration at a Woori Financial Group meeting of chief consumer protection officers to fully shift to a pre-emptive consumer protection system. Panel members will participate in surveys covering service quality, satisfaction and improvement ideas. Incentives include gift certificates.

Woori Financial shifts consumer protection to preventive system
Woori Financial Group said on Tuesday it held a group financial consumer protection council meeting at its headquarters a day earlier and decided to pursue a shift to a prevention-focused consumer protection system as its 2026 strategy. It aims to move away from post-incident responses by managing risk factors in advance across the design, sale and operation of financial products. Twelve consumer protection chiefs from the group and subsidiaries attended.

NH NongHyup Financial Group is moving up the timing of its financial consumer protection council meeting to respond proactively to stronger consumer protection policies by financial authorities and changes to the Financial Supervisory Service’s assessment system. The holding company said its first 2026 meeting was held on Jan. 19 with consumer protection chiefs from the holding company and all affiliates. The agenda included strengthening group governance and improving internal controls.
