Kakao Pay launches \'Link My Card Money\' starting with Hana Card debit cards
Kakao Pay has launched a service that lets users make payments by linking Kakao Pay Money to an existing debit card without issuing a separate card. The company said on Aug. 26 it introduced \'Link My Card Money,\' which connects Kakao Pay Money to a physical debit card already issued. The service is initially available for Hana Card debit cards and will expand to additional partner card companies.

Bitwise CIO says crypto and finance lines to blur as Coinbase strategy draws attention
Coinbase has unveiled an “Everything Exchange” plan spanning stocks, options, prediction markets and AI-driven trade execution, prompting Bitwise to say the boundary between crypto and traditional finance is starting to disappear. Bitwise CIO Matt Hougan said if Coinbase’s future revenue comes mainly from non-spot activities such as stock trading, perpetual futures and options, it may no longer be seen as a pure crypto company. Coinbase also outlined tokenised stock trading outside the United States starting next month and AI tools for automated portfolio strategies.

KT to offer integrated finance and telecom services for Mongolians entering South Korea
KT said it will provide integrated finance and telecommunications services for foreigners entering South Korea through a partnership with Mongolia\'s Trade and Development Bank and Woori Bank. The three parties signed a memorandum of understanding in Seoul on Tuesday. KT and Woori Bank plan a package combining bank account opening and mobile plans for Mongolians, including a 5G welcome plan, international calling benefits and other living perks.
