Woori Bank holds customer panel meeting with financial regulators
Woori Bank held a customer panel meeting with officials from South Korea’s Financial Services Commission and Financial Supervisory Service, as well as the Korea Federation of Banks, at its headquarters in central Seoul. The bank said it listened to difficulties faced by various financial consumers, including visually impaired people and households raising infants, and discussed improvements. Panel members proposed measures on issues such as illegal youth gambling, housing finance support and foreign residents’ access.

Woori Investment Securities recruits first customer panel
Woori Investment Securities said on Tuesday it is recruiting its first customer panel to help spread a consumer-focused management culture and incorporate financial consumers’ views across its business. The move follows a declaration at a Woori Financial Group meeting of chief consumer protection officers to fully shift to a pre-emptive consumer protection system. Panel members will participate in surveys covering service quality, satisfaction and improvement ideas. Incentives include gift certificates.

Woori Financial shifts consumer protection to preventive system
Woori Financial Group said on Tuesday it held a group financial consumer protection council meeting at its headquarters a day earlier and decided to pursue a shift to a prevention-focused consumer protection system as its 2026 strategy. It aims to move away from post-incident responses by managing risk factors in advance across the design, sale and operation of financial products. Twelve consumer protection chiefs from the group and subsidiaries attended.
