Woori Bank discussed ways to improve financial services after hearing inconveniences in the service-use process from various financial consumers, including visually impaired people and households raising infants and young children. Officials from the Financial Services Commission, the Financial Supervisory Service and the Korea Federation of Banks also attended and reviewed whether customers' suggestions could be reflected in policy.

Woori Bank said on Saturday it held the 2026 Woori Bank customer panel meeting with a “financial field communication team” made up of working-level officials from the FSC and FSS at its headquarters in Jung-gu, central Seoul, on July 31.

The meeting included customer panel members who may face difficulties in accessing financial services, including visually impaired people and households raising infants and young children. Participants shared inconveniences they experienced and ideas for improvement while signing up for financial products and using branches and non-face-to-face channels.

Panel members proposed measures to prevent damage from illegal youth gambling and proxy deposits. They also suggested expanding housing finance support for newlywed couples and young people, tailored financial support for households with infants and young children and for larger families, and improving financial access for foreigners and multicultural households.

The FSC and FSS financial field communication team and working-level officials from the Korea Federation of Banks discussed policy review directions for key proposals. They exchanged views focusing on examples of dark patterns that may appear in non-face-to-face financial services and ways to improve them, as well as measures to improve convenience for customers visiting branches with infants and young children. Woori Bank plans to reflect opinions raised at the meeting in improvements to financial products and services and share them with financial authorities.

Yoon Seok-in (윤석인), a team head at Woori Bank's consumer protection department, said, "The voices of financial consumers are the starting point for innovation in financial services." He said the bank will listen to opinions from various financial consumers and work on service improvements and consumer protection.
