iM Financial first-half net profit 295.6 billion won down 4.4 percent
iM Financial Group posted 295.6 billion won in net profit attributable to controlling shareholders in the first half of this year, down 4.4 percent from a year earlier. Total operating profit rose 4.4 percent to 1.11 trillion won, supported by growth in corporate lending at iM Bank and operating assets at iM Capital. Net profit fell due to a change in the education tax rate and higher provisioning.

KB Financial Group posted 3.88 trillion won in first-half net profit, beating Shinhan Financial Group by 441.9 billion won, helped by a surge in non-bank earnings, especially at KB Securities. JB Financial Group posted a controlling shareholders\' net profit of 219.6 billion won in the second quarter, its highest ever for a second quarter, led by JB Woori Capital. The group said first-half net profit totalled 385.7 billion won. ROE stood at 13.0 percent and ROA at 1.07 percent. The board approved a quarterly cash dividend of 314 won per share and a 100 billion won share buyback and cancellation.
