JB Financial Group said on Feb. 5 it posted 2025 net profit attributable to owners of 710.4 billion won. That was up 4.9 percent from a year earlier and a record that beat the annual guidance the company presented early last year.

In key management metrics, it posted ROE attributable to owners of 12.4 percent and ROA of 1.04 percent. It achieved a double-digit ROE for a seventh straight year and an ROA above 1 percent for a second consecutive year.

JB Financial Group is improving capital efficiency by expanding the share of core businesses and rebalancing within its base businesses, based on a qualitative growth strategy centered on RORWA.

As a result, won-denominated loan assets rose 7.7 percent from the end of the previous year, but risk-weighted assets increased by a lower 3.9 percent. Its common equity tier 1 ratio (preliminary) rose 0.37 percentage point from a year earlier to 12.58 percent, maintaining solid capital adequacy.

The board of JB Financial Group on Thursday decided on a year-end cash dividend of 660 won per common share. The payout ratio is about 30 percent, taking into account quarterly dividends of 480 won paid last year. Including 106.3 billion won already completed out of the 120.0 billion won share buyback resolved in 2025, JB Financial's total shareholder return ratio this year reaches 45 percent.

Jeonbuk Bank posted 228.7 billion won, up 4.6 percent from a year earlier, and Gwangju Bank posted 272.6 billion won. JB Woori Capital achieved 281.5 billion won, up 25.8 percent from a year earlier, driving the group's performance.

JB Asset Management posted net profit of 2.0 billion won and JB Investment recorded 8.3 billion won. PPCBank, a Cambodia-based second-tier subsidiary, achieved 48.6 billion won, up 27 percent from a year earlier.

Kim Ki-hong (김기홍), chairman of JB Financial, said, "We will review the results and profitability of various new businesses and growth strategies we have 추진해온, and we will more clearly refine the foundation for mid- to long-term growth."
