DeepX, Doosan Robotics to co-develop AI welding robot for nuclear plant manufacturing

DeepX and Doosan Robotics said on Monday they will jointly develop an intelligent welding robot solution to be used in manufacturing nuclear power plant equipment. The project combines vision AI and collaborative robots to recognise welding targets and paths, correct them and analyse vision and thermal imaging data gathered during welding to judge weld conditions and abnormalities. A four-party consortium including Sage and Changwon National University will integrate the technologies and conduct step-by-step verification at Doosan Enerbility sites.

Mobilint to join four on-device AI chip projects for robots and home appliances

Mobilint will participate in four projects under the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy\'s K-On-Device AI Semiconductor Technology Development Programme, working with LG Electronics, Doosan Robotics and Daedong, it said on Sept. 28. Mobilint will lead detailed AI chip development tasks for LG\'s humanoid, Doosan Robotics\' collaborative robot and Daedong\'s unmanned farming robot, and join LG\'s AI home project as a joint R&D body. It will develop chips to customer requirements and validate them on devices.

Megazone joins Taiwan\'s Techman Robot on robot education partnership

Megazone, the parent of AI and cloud company MegazoneCloud, has signed a partnership with Taiwan collaborative robot company Techman Robot Inc. focused on robot education and technology cooperation, it said on Thursday. The two companies plan to jointly run practical training programmes using Techman’s collaborative robots and pursue cooperation to build a physical AI and humanoid ecosystem in South Korea. They also plan to link Megazone’s WISE physical AI platform with Techman’s robot technology.
