NHN joins Korea Baduk Association for Hangame Baduk & Omok content partnership

NHN said on March 19 it signed a content partnership agreement with the Korea Baduk Association. The deal will bring the association’s life-and-death training content to NHN’s web board game Hangame Baduk & Omok. NHN plans to optimize and offer life-and-death content from the interactive game Legend of Baduk and carry out joint marketing. The first life-and-death service is set to open within the game this month.

NHN donates AI baduk robots to six senior welfare centers in Seongnam

NHN said on Monday it donated artificial intelligence baduk robots to six comprehensive senior welfare centers in Seongnam, South Korea, as part of local digital care support. The company said the donation extends an initiative launched last year and that it plans to deliver 200 robots nationwide over three years through 2027. A handover ceremony was held at Seongnam City Hall on Feb. 9. NHN said the robots can tailor play to users’ levels and support leisure and cognitive activity.
