U.S. Congress mulls annual $130 fee for EV drivers, saying they should pay road tax

The U.S. Congress is pushing legislation that would impose a separate annual fee of up to $130 on electric vehicle drivers, arguing they should contribute to road upkeep because EVs do not pay the federal gasoline tax. The bill would also charge plug-in hybrids $35 a year and raise the EV fee by $5 annually from 2029 to as much as $150. Industry and environmental groups say the plan amounts to a punitive tax that could hurt EV adoption.

KT unveils May customer rewards program with Baemin and Twosome discounts

KT is running its May “Daldal Benefits” and a customer rewards program featuring discounts across dining, shopping, leisure and culture. The second round of May rewards runs from May 18 to May 31. KT Membership customers can choose either 50 percent off all menu items at Twosome Place or 8,000 won off at Baedal Minjok x Norang Tongdak. Other offers run through May 31.

KT steps up everyday membership perks from food and drinks to daily necessities

KT said on Tuesday it has prepared an \"April customer rewards programme\" and \"Daldal Benefits\" tailored to customers\' spending patterns. From April 16, it will offer either a 50 percent discount at Baskin Robbins or a 6,000 won discount at its Shopping Lounge commerce service. Daldal Benefits will run from April 15 to 30 and includes Choice and Special offers across multiple partner brands.
