Zama acquires TokenOps to keep institutional token allocations confidential with fully homomorphic encryption
French cryptography company Zama has acquired TokenOps, an enterprise token lifecycle management platform. The Block reported Zama is developing confidentiality protocols for public blockchains such as Ethereum and Solana. Zama said the deal aims to remove signaling and front-running risks that arise because information on public blockchains is disclosed by default. Token issuers will be able to execute allocation, distribution schedules and recipient identities on-chain in encrypted form using the ERC-7984 confidential token standard.

The report cited expectations tied to potential passage of the U.S. CLARITY Acts, possible inclusion in a U.S. spot ETF, and a plan to apply Zama’s fully homomorphic encryption technology to Shibarium in the first half of 2026.
