[DigitalToday reporter Jinju Hong] An anonymous cryptocurrency analyst known as Daffy Trader has made a bold prediction that Shiba Inu (SHIB) will set a new all-time high (ATH) in 2026.
On Dec. 30 local time, blockchain outlet The Crypto Basic reported that Daffy recently shared 2026 price forecasts for major cryptocurrencies including Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), XRP and Solana (SOL). Daffy analysed that Bitcoin could rise to as much as $178,000, Ethereum to $10,000, XRP to $10 and Solana to $1,000.
Daffy laid out an especially strong upside scenario for Shiba Inu. Under the forecast, Shiba Inu could reach $0.00009 in 2026, potentially topping its all-time high of $0.00008845 set in October 2021. That would represent a rise of about 1,150% from the current price.
Shiba Inu has recently slipped below $0.000007, adding back a fifth zero after the decimal point, but expectations for a rebound in the community remain intact. Behind that optimism is talk that the CLARITY Acts could pass in the United States in 2026. If the legislation passes, the regulatory status of cryptocurrencies would become clearer and the risk of market manipulation would fall, an analysis says, potentially expanding institutional investor confidence and market participation.
Another factor cited is the possibility that Shiba Inu could be included in a U.S. spot ETF. Asset manager T. Rowe Price has mentioned the possibility of including Shiba Inu in a list of assets for a spot ETF, and Grayscale has also classified Shiba Inu as an eligible asset under the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission's (SEC) GLS (Generic Listing Standard) framework. If a related ETF meets the conditions and is approved, it could have a positive effect on Shiba Inu's price, the report said.
Changes are also expected on the technical side. The Shiba Inu ecosystem plans to apply Zama's fully homomorphic encryption (FHE) technology to Shibarium in the first half of 2026. That is expected to enable privacy-enhanced smart contracts and improve network scalability and usability.
