Crit Ventures makes follow-on investment in \'Zeus: God of Arrogance\' developer Avertone
Venture capital firm Crit Ventures has made a follow-on investment in Avertone, the developer of the MMORPG \"Zeus: God of Arrogance\". The firm said on Thursday it executed the investment through a project fund of about 6 billion won formed for investing in Avertone. It is the second investment following an initial one in 2024. Avertone was founded by CEO Kim Dae-hwan, who previously oversaw development of titles including Nexon’s \"Prasia War\" and \"Dave the Diver\".

Com2uS launches new MMORPG \'Zeus\' as it tops popularity rankings in Apple and Google stores
Com2uS said it will begin full service for the new MMORPG \'Zeus: The God of Arrogance,\' developed by Eibuton, from noon on Aug. 26. The game started pre-downloads at 10 a.m. on Aug. 24 and ranked No. 1 in Apple App Store popular games that day, later taking the top spot on Google Play Store on the morning of Aug. 26. It supports PC and mobile platforms.

New massively multiplayer online role-playing games (MMORPGs) are set to enter South Korea in succession, led by Com2uS\' \"Zeus: God of Pride,\" followed by Smilegate\'s \"Eclipse: The Awakening\" and Kakao Games\' \"Dokkaebi\'s World.\" All three keep the genre\'s core appeal of growth, cooperation and competition, while aiming to reduce burdens such as long play times, unwanted competition and fixed progression paths. Each title tackles fatigue differently, from widening participation options to cutting login pressure or removing classes and field PK.
