UK foreign secretary warns AI neglect could bring Hiroshima-scale disaster
Britain has urged a joint international response to manage artificial intelligence risks, warning that delaying regulation could repeat early policy failures seen in nuclear weapons development. Foreign Secretary Yvette Cooper called for rapid agreement on shared global safety principles and standards, saying the world cannot afford to wait for an “AI Hiroshima”.
