Neptune teams up with LINE Games to launch five H5 titles in Japan
Neptune will partner with LINE Games, a unit of LY Corp, to sequentially launch five H5 (HTML5) games on Japan\'s LINE Mini App, it said on Sept. 16. The lineup includes Cat Office, Cat Snack Bar, Dduddudrill, Infinite Stairs and Urruru Mercenaries. Three titles will be demoed at the Tokyo Game Show 2026 LINE Games booth. The partnership enables in-app purchases and LINE login, with local marketing support.

Web visits fall but AI traffic surges, ChatGPT ranks sixth worldwide
Sensor Tower released a report on Tuesday analysing changes in global web traffic, the rise of generative AI platforms and the share of local platforms by country. It said total web visits last year fell 1.8 percent to about 800 trillion and time spent dropped 5 percent to about 1.6 trillion hours. ChatGPT added about 60 billion visits and ranked sixth globally, while AI assistants’ visits jumped 86 percent.

Yahoo Japan-Line merger firm LY Corporation steps up integration with new Flava cloud
LY Corporation, formed through the merger of Yahoo Japan and Line, has begun a large-scale infrastructure integration to replace heavily customised OpenStack clouds with a new unified cloud called Flava, The Register reported on April 7. The company’s services have about 300 million monthly users. Flava will run on a single OpenStack cluster with more than 500 hosts and over 9,000 VMs. The firm aims to minimise custom patches and automate much of failure handling.
