Game industry puts Korean worldviews front and center as K-narrative race heats up
Major South Korean game companies are rolling out large projects that place Korean folklore and classic literature at the core of their worlds. With overseas users growing more familiar with Korean culture through K-dramas and K-pop, companies are using Korean narratives as a point of differentiation. Krafton, Nexon Games and Wemade Max are developing open-world or action titles for PC and consoles. The shift reflects a move beyond mobile MMORPGs toward exporting worldbuilding itself.

Alibaba shifts strategy to AI agents, steps up commerce and logistics integration
Alibaba is reshaping its AI strategy around AI agents, Reuters reported on Tuesday. The company has decided to separate its AI business from its cloud unit and launched the Alibaba Token Hub group led by CEO Eddie Wu. Its Qwen chatbot now enables purchases via a chat interface alongside a 3 billion yuan coupon campaign. Former employee and author Brian Wong and analysts highlighted Alibaba’s broad ecosystem and integrated logistics, as well as its new enterprise AI platform Wukong.

Alibaba launches enterprise agentic AI Wukong, to integrate with Slack and Teams
Alibaba has unveiled a new agentic AI platform for enterprise customers called Wukong, CNBC reported on March 17. The platform lets companies manage multiple AI agents through a single interface and includes enterprise-grade security features. It supports automation of tasks such as document editing, approvals, meeting minutes and research. Wukong is currently available as an invitation-only test version.
