Alibaba shifts strategy to AI agents, steps up commerce and logistics integration
Alibaba is reshaping its AI strategy around AI agents, Reuters reported on Tuesday. The company has decided to separate its AI business from its cloud unit and launched the Alibaba Token Hub group led by CEO Eddie Wu. Its Qwen chatbot now enables purchases via a chat interface alongside a 3 billion yuan coupon campaign. Former employee and author Brian Wong and analysts highlighted Alibaba’s broad ecosystem and integrated logistics, as well as its new enterprise AI platform Wukong.
