Game industry opts for share cancellations over investment amid \'value-up\' push
A rush of treasury share cancellations is sweeping South Korea\'s game industry. While presented as shareholder returns aligned with the government\'s “value-up” drive, some see it as a defensive move by companies that have lost growth momentum. Critics say cash is being diverted from investment in areas such as AI and console markets to support share prices.
