Standard Chartered says UNI burn surge may make 2030 $100 price target too low

Standard Chartered said its $100 2030 price target for Uniswap’s UNI token may be too low as fee revenue on Robinhood Chain is rapidly feeding into token buybacks and burns. It cited a jump in Uniswap protocol revenue from late July to mid-August, under a “Unification” upgrade that uses revenue for UNI purchases and burns. UNI was last at $3.53, down over the past week, with a $2.2 billion market value.

DeepSeek launches V4 Pro, raises prices and expands hiring

China AI startup DeepSeek has launched the official version of its V4 Pro model, Reuters reported on Aug. 13. The V4-Pro-0813 model has significantly strengthened agent functions and is available via API, app and web. DeepSeek said it would raise prices for V4 Pro and V4 Flash APIs and introduce peak and off-peak pricing plans. It also said it would at least double headcount across all departments, including data centres and AI agents.

Robinhood Chain TVL nears $1 billion, helped by Uniswap liquidity

Robinhood Chain’s total value locked (TVL) is nearing $1 billion, with Standard Chartered saying its link with Uniswap is quickly solving the early-liquidity challenge faced by new blockchains. The bank said Robinhood Chain has been the fastest-growing blockchain by TVL, with liquidity demand largely met through Uniswap V2, V3 and V4. It also said Robinhood-linked fees are now the biggest driver of UNI token burns.
