Kraken starts forced sale of 7 delisted tokens, warns proceeds could be zero if liquidity thin

Global cryptocurrency exchange Kraken has begun automatically selling remaining user holdings in seven delisted tokens after users can no longer withdraw or dispose of them. The sales run from Aug. 3 to Aug. 7 local time and cover PLANCK, AIR, MICHI, FLY, ANLOG, TERM and STRD. Kraken warned some assets trade in limited markets or are effectively inactive, so sales may execute far below displayed prices and could yield little or no proceeds. It did not disclose execution venues, order, fees or spreads.

Aave to remove low-adoption reserves, end services on six small blockchains

DeFi protocol Aave has put forward a governance proposal to remove low-use assets from its reserves and end services deployed on six smaller blockchain networks. The move affects $98.10 million in deposited assets and $15.60 million in outstanding debt, The Block reported. The proposal recommends removing 50 low-adoption reserves across 11 Aave V3 deployments and 21 maturing Pendle principal tokens, and fully shutting deployments on Sonic, Scroll, zkSync, Metis, Soneium and Aptos.

XRP Ledger fixCleanup3_2_0 upgrade set for July 29 mainnet rollout

The XRP Ledger fixCleanup3_2_0 amendment is expected to be applied to the mainnet on July 29 local time. It has reached 85.71 percent consensus through validator voting. The upgrade includes fixes tied to transaction processing, covering single-asset vaults, a lending protocol, a permissioned decentralised exchange, multi-purpose tokens and an authority-based domain. XRP Ledger manages changes affecting transaction handling through its amendment system, requiring 80 percent support and a two-week confirmation period.
