KT expands 5G work network hub service to public sector, applies to Gyeonggi provincial office
KT said on Sunday it has upgraded its 5G work network into a hub-based service to support flexible work environments for public-sector customers. The solution replaces wired 업무 infrastructure with a security-enhanced 5G wireless network that can apply an organisation’s internal security policies and be used without installing software. KT applied the model to the Gyeonggi provincial office, building key equipment at its data centre and opening linked networks for seven local governments.

MSIT finalises 2026 overhead cable maintenance plan, to push Clean-Zone pilot
South Korea\'s Ministry of Science and ICT finalised its 2026 overhead cable maintenance plan after holding the 38th coordination meeting, it said on Monday. The plan covers 407 maintenance zones in 63 local governments, including all 25 districts of Seoul, and involves work on 130,910 utility poles. Allocation will reflect the share of public complaints, adding more work to areas with frequent complaints. The ministry will also launch a Clean-Zone pilot to prevent re-cluttering after maintenance.

Shinsegae chairman Chung Yong-jin visits Traders Incheon Guwol ahead of Lunar New Year
Shinsegae Group Chairman Chung Yong-jin (정용진) visited the Traders Incheon Guwol store on Feb. 9, a week ahead of the Lunar New Year holiday, and encouraged on-site employees, the group said on Monday. The visit marked his third on-site inspection this year. Chung checked key products including fresh foods and holiday gift sets, greeted customers and urged staff to prevent even minor accidents amid heavy shopper traffic.
