MOEX to launch perpetual futures linked to bitcoin, ether in September

Moscow Exchange (MOEX), Russia\'s largest bourse, will launch perpetual futures linked to bitcoin and ether in September. The move comes ahead of Russia\'s introduction next month of new laws on digital assets and as the country speeds up the institutionalisation of crypto derivatives. MOEX plans to expand coin-based products to as many as 10. New rules taking effect on Sept. 1 broaden investor access, while limiting retail investment to 300,000 roubles a year per broker.

Partnerships among banks, fintechs, platforms and blockchain firms around won-denominated stablecoins are accelerating in the second half, with payment and settlement use cases moving into more concrete pilot tests. It also includes structured finance products developed by Strategy and a top layer of \"digital equity\" linking the stages into a business model.
