Tether invests in fintech firm LemFi to expand USDT remittances in emerging markets

Tether is investing in fintech platform LemFi to expand remittances in emerging markets. LemFi plans to introduce USDT into payment systems where it operates and replace parts of traditional interbank remittance processes with stablecoin and blockchain-based settlement. The companies aim to speed up cross-border transfers and reduce operating costs. Tether CEO Paolo Ardoino said the investment reflects a shared vision prioritising speed, cost and transparency in moving funds across borders.
