Toss Insurance, a corporate insurance agency, said on Tuesday it signed a memorandum of understanding with KB Insurance to strengthen financial consumer protection and internal controls. The agreement aims to improve integrity and transparency in insurance solicitation and reinforce consumer protection through closer cooperation between the insurer and the agency. The two sides agreed to work together on internal controls and self-inspections to reduce risks in sales outsourcing, complaint handling and prevention, and upgrading personal data protection systems.

Toss Insurance said on Tuesday it introduced insurance checkpoints that may help consumers ahead of the Lunar New Year holiday. It recommended reviewing coverage for parents, including options for people with pre-existing conditions, and confirming family daily life liability coverage for incidents such as leaks. It also advised checking older policies for coverage gaps, payment details and duplicate coverage. With more holiday driving expected, it urged reviewing auto and driver insurance and confirming indemnity claim procedures, including app-based filing.
