Apple offers replaceable cover layer for folding display on iPhone Duo

Apple has applied a replaceable protective layer to the folding display of its iPhone Duo, aiming to reduce the visibility of creases that can worsen over time. The company calls the part a “cover layer” and says it is focused on keeping the screen in first-day condition after long use. The app has about 1.5 million global downloads since its iOS launch last December, with Japan accounting for 40.6 percent and Korea 23.5 percent. Japan overtook Korea as the largest market from mid-July. Users spend less time per day but open the app frequently.
