Toss Payments becomes first in South Korea’s finance, IT sectors to fully adopt post-quantum cryptography
Toss Payments, a payment gateway unit of Viva Republica, has fully adopted post-quantum cryptography, becoming the first in South Korea’s finance and IT sectors to do so. The company said the technology now covers the entire electronic payment service process where payment data is created and transmitted, including its data centres, AWS cloud infrastructure and payment pages. Users receive the added security automatically, with fallback to existing encryption in unsupported environments.
