Science committee passes supplementary budget under Broadcast and Communications, including 4.95 billion won for TBS
South Korea’s National Assembly Science, ICT, Broadcasting and Communications Committee approved a first supplementary budget bill for 2026 that includes 4.95 billion won in operating support for Seoul’s media foundation TBS, under the jurisdiction of the Broadcast and Communications Commission. Lawmakers from the Democratic Party and Rebuilding Korea Party backed it, while Reform Party lawmaker Lee Jun-seok opposed it and seven People Power Party members did not vote.
