Tesla rejects Swedish union demands as 1,021-day strike ends
Sweden\'s largest industrial union IF Metall will halt a 1,021-day strike against Tesla, ending nearly three years of industrial action after the automaker refused to sign a Swedish-style collective agreement. The union said continuing the strike had become ineffective as Tesla effectively phased out participating members. The dispute began in October 2023 and drew solidarity actions in Sweden and nearby countries, including port blockades and service refusals.

H100 becomes Europe\'s No. 2 bitcoin holder after acquisitions
Swedish listed company H100 Group completed the acquisition of Norwegian bitcoin businesses holding 2,455 BTC, raising its total to 3,506 BTC. Cointelegraph reported on Aug. 10 that the deal more than tripled H100\'s bitcoin holdings and made it Europe\'s second-largest corporate bitcoin holder. The transaction was done without cash, with H100 issuing 790.5 million new shares priced at 1.86 Swedish crowns each.

Chinese EVs may enter U.S. via joint sales with American automakers - survey
Chinese electric vehicles could enter the U.S. market most likely through joint sales with local automakers, a survey of Electrek readers showed. Most respondents said it was only a matter of time before Chinese EVs arrive, citing potential partnerships with General Motors, Ford or Stellantis and distribution through dealer networks. Some said it would never happen, expecting the U.S. government to effectively close the border. The survey also highlighted that U.S. brands already sell China-made vehicles.
