Apple says recycled material content in its products reaches 30 percent
Apple said on April 17 it reached a record high share of recycled materials in products shipped in 2025. In its annual environmental progress report, the company said 30 percent of materials in all products shipped last year were recycled. It said it uses 100 percent recycled cobalt in batteries it designs, 100 percent recycled rare earth elements in magnets, and 100 percent recycled gold and tin for circuit-board plating and solder. Apple also said it completed removing plastic from packaging.

Apple expands DIY repairs with parts sales for MacBook Neo and iPhone 17e
Apple has begun selling official self-repair parts for its latest devices, including the MacBook Neo and iPhone 17e. It updated its Self Service Repair Store to add parts and tools for several newly released products, including iPad Air M4, MacBook Air M5, MacBook Pro models, and new Studio Display products. Apple said users can buy or rent parts and tools and use official repair manuals to carry out repairs.

Apple begins sales of seven new products including iPhone 17e and MacBook Neo
Apple has released seven new products worldwide through its Apple Stores and online store, including the entry-level MacBook Neo and iPhone 17e, NineToFiveMac reported. The MacBook Neo starts at $599 and offers up to 16 hours of battery life. The iPhone 17e also costs $599 and starts at 256GB storage. Apple also updated MacBook Air, MacBook Pro and iPad Air, and unveiled Studio Display monitors.
