Kakao wage deal tentative agreement approved, labour dispute moves toward close

Kakao’s tentative 2026 wage agreement with its labour union has been approved in a vote by union members, ending more than two months of wage bargaining conflict. The union said no unusual issues are expected following the approval, and the talks will formally end after procedures including a signing ceremony, though the date is undecided. Kakao said the deal includes a 6.3 percent increase in the annual salary pool and a 3 million won special incentive payment.
