Snowflake CoWork evolves into personal AI agent, expands beyond analytics to execution
Snowflake unveiled new features for its AI agent CoWork and introduced Cortex Training, a model training service. At its annual Snowflake Summit 26 in the United States, the company presented CoWork updates aimed at business users, adding capabilities that go beyond analytics to support execution. The core is Cortex Sense, a shared context layer that integrates data, business definitions and operational knowledge for both CoWork and its coding agent CoCo. Snowflake also launched new CoWork apps and extensions.

Snowflake updates CoCo coding agent to boost autonomous execution
Snowflake said on Monday it unveiled new features for its CoCo coding agent and introduced Datastream, a fully managed streaming service based on Apache Kafka, at its Snowflake Summit 26 event. The company launched CoCo Desktop, a mobile app and a Slackbot, and added extensions and plugins including for VS Code and Microsoft Excel. It also strengthened CoCo’s autonomous execution and automation with access controls and audit trails.

Snowflake boosts enterprise data and AI interoperability features
Snowflake on Monday unveiled interoperability features that let companies use Snowflake data as well as external data lakes and open-system data under a single governance model without moving or duplicating data. The announcement was made at the Snowflake Summit 26 annual conference in San Francisco. The company highlighted the general release of Apache Iceberg v3 and Snowflake support for Iceberg tables, plus Horizon Catalog based on Apache Polaris and new integrations with major platforms.
