Samsung Electronics returns to PC chip market after more than 10 years. What is it really aiming for?
Samsung Electronics is developing an AI PC chip called Gaia, marking a return to the PC chip market after more than 10 years. Qualcomm supplies Snapdragon X2 for Samsung Galaxy Book6 Edge
Qualcomm is supplying its latest processor to a Samsung Electronics laptop as it targets the AI PC market. Qualcomm Technologies said on Sunday that Samsung’s new Galaxy Book6 Edge includes the next-generation Snapdragon X2 Elite processor. The chip is designed around a third-generation Qualcomm Oryon CPU and a Qualcomm Hexagon NPU, supporting 80 TOPS of AI performance. The laptop offers on-device AI features and has a 1.55 kg, 12.3 mm design with up to 22 hours of video playback.

Qualcomm secures AI PC retail base at Lotte Hi-Mart Jamsil store
Qualcomm Technologies said on Tuesday it has opened South Korea\'s second \"Snapdragon X Series PC Zone\" at Lotte Hi-Mart\'s Jamsil store. It follows the opening of a similar zone at Yongsan I\'Park Mall last year, expanding consumer touchpoints for on-device AI PCs. The Jamsil zone allows shoppers to compare Snapdragon X Series PCs from six makers including Samsung Electronics and Microsoft.
