Qualcomm Technologies said on Tuesday it has opened South Korea's second "Snapdragon X Series PC Zone" at Lotte Hi-Mart's Jamsil store. The additional base follows the opening at the Yongsan I'Park Mall store last year and expands consumer touchpoints for on-device AI PCs.

At the Jamsil store PC zone, consumers can compare and try out Snapdragon X Series-powered PCs from six manufacturers: Samsung Electronics, Microsoft, Asus, HP, Lenovo and Acer. Lotte Hi-Mart's Jamsil store is South Korea's largest home appliances store and is operated as an experiential flagship store.

Qualcomm is targeting the Windows PC market. The Snapdragon X2 Elite is the latest product in the Snapdragon compute platform and highlights power efficiency and on-device AI processing capabilities.

Qualcomm Korea CEO Kim Sang-pyo (김상표) said, "The Snapdragon X Series is a platform that presents the standard for next-generation AI PCs, and I am very pleased to be able to introduce it directly to consumers in Korea's leading market." He added, "Based on solid cooperation with Lotte Hi-Mart, the country's largest home appliance retailer, we will continue to expand retail so that more consumers can experience in daily life the productivity and efficiency innovations delivered by on-device AI."
