Qualcomm appoints Sergio Buniac as executive vice president to lead mobile and AI
Qualcomm has hired an external executive to strengthen its mobile business. The company said on Aug. 21 it appointed Sergio Buniac as executive vice president of Qualcomm Technologies and head of the Mobile, Compute and Personal AI Group. He will officially take up the post on Sept. 2 and oversee smartphones, personal computing, smart wearables, XR and next-generation AI devices. He previously spent more than 30 years at Motorola.
