Kyochon F&B indicted over cutting cooking oil distribution margin to zero
Kyochon F&B has been indicted on charges of violating the fair trade law by unilaterally eliminating distribution margins for two partner firms supplying cooking oil used to fry chicken, industry sources said. Prosecutors allege the company cut the margin per can from 1,350 won to 0 won between May and December 2021. An investigation found the partners suffered about 700 million won in losses.

Shinhan Bank recommends Yoon Joon and Chae Eun-mi as new outside director candidates
Shinhan Bank\'s board said on Thursday it recommended Yoon Joon and Chae Eun-mi as new candidates for outside directors after holding an executive candidate recommendation committee meeting. The bank described Yoon as a legal expert and former head of the Seoul High Court, expected to contribute to internal controls and consumer protection. It said Chae, a PhD in physics, is an expert in quantum mechanics and is expected to help strengthen board expertise in digital and ICT strategy and new business analysis.

NCSoft loses appeal in copyright suit against Kakao Games over ArcheAge War
NCSoft lost again on appeal in a copyright infringement lawsuit against Kakao Games over the mobile MMORPG ArcheAge War, which it said copied its game Lineage2M. The Seoul High Court rejected NCSoft\'s appeal on March 12. The court said it was difficult to view the plaintiff\'s game as a work with distinct creativity and individuality, and cited public-domain elements in claims of unfair competition.
